Apple with ARM CPU!

I can still remember it well, it was a few years ago that all speakers prepared for the Delphitage to hold your session.

Five or six of the "well-known heads" wired your notebooks on stage. EVERYONE opened a Mac book and the Apple logos glowed.

Then I looked around to see if I was in the wrong conference. Until then, I would never have bought an Apple - why would I? No compiler, no Delphi IDE, what should I do with it.

Sure, I also had a notebook - 3 times as heavy and no more than 1.5 hours of battery life.

True to the motto - you learn from the best: bought a Mac book, installed VMWare, installed Delphi and since then I've also used a Mac book for on the go or at events such as the Delphi / Forum Days.

Of course now with an external SSD, because the internal hard drive was too small, but I can always take my entire development environment with me!

I think a lot of people did it that way. Did Apple think about it when choosing ARM?

For me this is a clear sign - Apple only has an eye on the normal users who trust Apple and are happy to play Candy-Crush on their notebook now!

Let's see what all this has to do. ARM Windows - that also works, MacOS arm as target in Delphi, Windows on arm as target? Maybe Linux on arm for the Pi?

We will see...

Regards...

PS .: In silence, of course I still hope for an FMX-IDE ...
